plugin/widget api the same thing?

Feb 14 2007, 6:22 PM EST I dont' think so. I think plugins would reside in AWN itself, expanding its funtionality, while widgets would detach from it. However, I do not think AWN is the right place to do widgets. They are better left to a standalone program like Screenlets: http://screenlets.org/ Do you find this valuable? |

Also have you tried em with beryl's widget layer? Do you find this valuable? |

Not many right now, but it's only version 0.0.7, so it's got lots of time to improve, and its remarkably stable for such an early release. I maintain an Ubuntu repo for this too. See here: http://syzygy42.tuxfamily.org/dists/edgy/screenlets/ I even have the beryl widget plugin in the repo, so everything you need is there. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
