Rhythmbox plugin that changes the rhythmbox icon to the current album art

This plugin is available in the 'plugins' folder in src dir of latest svn. (If you can't see it, make sure you have 'svn up' -ed to the latest revision). Located here.

Installation instructions are provided, basically copy everything in the /plugins/Rhythmbox/ directory to /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.gnome2/rhythmbox/plugins/ . Reboot your computer. Then start Rhythmbox, load the plugins chooser (Edit->Plugins), and select the 'artdisplay-awn' plugin, then watch as Awn amazes you by showing album art ;).

I have a custom icon set for Rhythmbox and when I boot the icon is set, when I play a song the album art gets displayed just fine, but then when I close Rhythmbox the icon goes back to the default Rythmbox icon, not my custom set icon.

I have a bug where if sometimes the album art isnt found, rhythmbox will freeze and goto 100% cpu workload.

Otherwise the album art shows good.

master5o1 Argh... no menus, yes album art... 0 Jun 19 2007, 4:36 AM EDT by master5o1

ok.. this is really starting to get to me.. and that's all of awn!

I attempted to install this plugin thinking this meant to put the files at:
"...gnome2/rhythmbox/plugins/rhythmbox/"

...the plugins folder didn't exist. and so i made it..

with this configuration the menus DID work (no art)
I then clicked and realised it would be /plugins/(files) instead. So I changed it, and the menu does not work but the art does... argh! ... atleast I have my keyboard buttons to press next on!
