Pidgin Plugin
Pidgin is the new name of the GAIM instant messenger. This plugin for Pidgin shows account status in AWN, and also shows the number of unread messages (if any). Currently the status icons from Pidgin are being used, so there is currently no blinking support, because there is no status icon to reflect blinking. If new tray-icons arrive for Pidgin, this plugin will get updated to use the tray icons again (assuming they are usable).
The package listed at attachments contains both the source and binary of this plugin. Of course you can also find more on this plugin on the awn-plugins Google code page.

OK, I downloaded the 2nd tar.gz file (includes the .h file), ran "make" after getting the pidgin source code, ran with no errors, moved the .so file to ~purple/plugins, enabled the AWN plugin in Pidgin, restarted Pidgin, restarted AWN. And?? Still nothing on the awn tray. What am I missing?

I cant activate the plugin in the plugin-browser of pidgin because: Error: undefined symbol:dbus_g_proxy_call Then in german (i am), i translate it: Check the plugins site for a new version |

I don't get an image on the pidgin image, I just get a white square. This also happens with the Amarok plugins... What am I doing wrong?
