I'm not sure why but when I use the plugin it just seems to flicker back and forth from the status circle to the album cover to the amarok icon. Also is there no way to uninstall it? Once I installed it I can't seem to get rid of it even if I uninstall it and restart Amarok. Anybody else having any issues like that?

This worked for me as the process on my System ( Unbuntu 7.04 ) is called "amarokapp" instead of "amarok"
I changed line 63 in awn-amarok.py from
if getoutput("pidof amarok") == "":
to if getoutput("pidof amarokapp") == "":
No guarantees however.

this is the output if i run python awn-amarok.py. any suggestions to that? i'm running gentoo and awn works flawless so far

ImportError: No module named dbus means in most cases that you need to install python-dbus. (perhaps it has another name in gentoo)

After running this script for just 5 minutes, Python takes up 250 MBs of memory. After 30 minutes, 550 MBs. Yikes!
